Prerequisites for installation on RedHat Enterprise Linux, Scientific Linux and Oracle Linux systems

Error: Failed to load processor NewsFlash

No macro or processor named 'NewsFlash' found

Please be sure that you have the following packages installed:

• gcc
• tcsh
• gedit
• make
• imake
• xterm
• openmotif-devel
• libXpm-devel
• xorg-x11-fonts-ISO8859-1-75dpi

Using yum you can install all necessary packages by running:

yum install gcc tcsh gedit imake make xterm openmotif-devel libXpm-devel xorg-x11-fonts-ISO8859-1-75dpi

Please make sure that a post-script viewer is also installed (e.g. evince).

Now proceed with download and installation of SH/SHM.

Known issues

• If you face weird text symbols in SH (command line version), use the FCT command to set a proper font. To get a list of available fonts, execute xlsfonts inside a terminal. Example:

  sh> fct setstyle $timeaxisstyle font -adobe-courier-medium-o-normal--18-180-75-75-m-110-iso8859-1
