Handle analysis parameters

command: PARAM SET <parname> <parvalue>
or
command: PARAM GET <parname> <outvar>
or
command: PARAM <subcmd> [<filename>]

Manage parameter set of SHX. The parameters are used mainly in combination with the GUI to offer a subset of commands without typing command lines. Some of the parameters are changed by SHX commands, like e.g. FK which sets 'fk_slowness' and 'fk_azimuth'.

parameters

  • <parname> parameter type: string
Name of parameter. For a list of available parameters, see "param dump".
  • <parvalue> parameter type: depending on parameter
New value of parameter. Only type-compatible values are accepted.
  • <outvar> parameter type: string
Name of variable to take the current value of the specified parameter.
  • <filename> parameter type: string
Name of input or output file (LOAD and SAVE subcommands).
  • <subcmd> parameter type: string
Subcommand to operate on parameters. Possible are:
SET: set parameter <parname> to value <value>.
GET: get value of parameter <parname> into variable <outvar>.
LOAD: load parameter set and phase picks from file <filename>.
SAVE: save parameter set and phase picks into file <filename>.
SAVEASCMD: save parameter set and phase picks in an SHX command file <filename>.
DUMP: list parameters and their values.
RESET: reset values of all parameters, kind of factory reset.
SAVETRACES: save trace input information into an SHX command file <filename>. With this command file the traces on the display may be recovered in a new SHX session.

qualifiers

  • /APPEND
Append the command file output to an existing one (only relevant to subcommands "SAVEASCMD" and "SAVETRACES".

example

param get fk_slowness &slo
Copy value of parameter "fk_slowness" into variable "slo" (to be defined via "sdef" before).
param save mypars.param
Save all parameters and phase picks into file "MYPARS.PARAM".
param savetraces recovery.shc
Save all trace information into command file "RECOVERY.SHC".
param saveascmd recovery.shc /append
Append all parameters and phase picks to command file "RECOVERY.SHC". In a new SHX session a call to the RECOVERY.SHC command procedure recovers traces, phases and parameters of the saved session.
