Reduce channels and location codes

command: CHANSELECT <chanlist> [<loclist>]

Reduces traces on display to one trace per station/component pair. The surviving channel and location codes are taken from the lists specified in parameters 1 and 2 with priority in the given order. E.g. assume you have for station NN.AAA channels HHZ, BHZ, LHZ, VHZ, UHZ and for station NN.BBB channels BHZ, LHZ and for station NN.CCC channels UHZ and VHZ on screen. After a command "chanselect hh,bh" station NN.AAA would have only channel HHZ left, station NN.BBB would have channel BHZ left and station NN.CCC would have no channels left. Location codes are treated similarly in a second stage if the second parameter is specified.

parameters

  • <chanlist> parameter type: string
Comma separated list of channels (without component). The first channel found for each station/component pair survives this command, all others are deleted.
  • <loclist> parameter type: string
Comma separated list of location codes. The first location code found for each station/component pair survives this command, all others are deleted.

qualifiers

no qualifiers

example

chanselect
chanselect hh,bh After this command either one HH or one BH channel is left for each station/component pair.
chanselect
chanselect hh,bh ,00,10,11

First step like in past example. In a second step the remaining channels are reduces to only one location code per channel. The leading comma means that the highest priority is given to the empty location code, followed by 00, 10 and then 11.
