Support (#5) - Instrument response (#1) - Message List
I am a user of SHM and I face a problem!I will give an example for better understanding.I have a station with a SP Mark L22 sensor.I created the tf using pole and zero and the normalization factor and then in the filter_lookup.txt I assigned the station name with the tf name(L22). The files TF_VEL_L22.FLF is there but when I try to assign from the station menu the L22 class to the station is not working! And by default only 6 classes are there to choose from!Any solution?

Dear Tararu Dragos,
for proper filtering of your records you need a set of appropriate simulation filters. The transfer function TF_VEL_L22.FLF (in your case) is only the first step. Did you create the other filters (like L22_S+G_WWSSN_SP.FLF) using the prep_simfilters.csh script (or using the setup menu)?
I admit that creating the filters is a bit tricky. At least you need to have the GMT package installed. Please supply more information about the error messages you get when trying to create the filters.
Best regards

When I try to execute prep_simfilters I get the following error:
processing file G_WWSSN_SP (creating LE3D5_S+G_WWSSN_SP.FLF) *** error file defaultERR_2000.MSG (03) not found ***
## file default/TF_VEL_S+G_WWSSN_SP.FLF
psxy: Encountered first invalid record near/at line # 1 psxy: Likely causes: psxy: (1) Invalid x and/or y values, i.e. NaNs? or garbage in text strings. psxy: (2) Incorrect data type assumed if -J, -f are not set or set incorrectly. psxy: (3) The -: switch is implied but not set. psxy: (4) Input file in multiple segment format but the -M switch is not set. psxy: This file had 194 records with invalid x and/or y values [1] 19519
and in the output graph I cant see the green line(the simulated filters), only the ren and blue line. What could be wrong?

Hi Tataru,
the documentation for Creating a set of FFT simulation filters may help.
